State authorities are investigating the cause of a fire that burned a predominantly black church to the ground in South Carolina late last week

An official with the Aiken County Sheriff's Office in South Carolina told Mashable that authorities don't yet know the cause of the fire that destroyed the Glover Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Warrenville. The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division is handling the investigation, and FBI agents were recently at the scene of the fire to help determine its cause
